Nord series by SMOK is one of the most successful SMOK product line since the first product released in November 2018. Two years late, they have upgraded this series to the 4th generation with all around significant improvements from color options, battery capacity, output wattage to more coil options and adjustable airflow system.
In this post, let’s check out the upgrading road of the all 4 products in the Nord series: Nord – Nord 2 – Nord X – Nord 4.
Timeline
Nord – released in November 2018, and SMOK released up to 39 color options in coming year.
Nord 2 – released in January 2020, SMOK applied their new RPM coils on the Nord 2, upgraded the battery capacity and increased the output wattage to 40W.
Nord X – released in August 2020, SMOK gave up the Nord coils in this version and applied RPM & RPM2 coils, they also upgraded the output wattage to 60W. Another big improvement is the Tri-proof: waterproof, dustproof & shockproof.
Nord 4 – released in November 2020, SMOK upgraded the battery capacity and increased the output wattage to 80W, kept the same RPM & RPM2 coils though without tri-proof feature. And finally they set up adjustable airflow system for the Nord series.
