Hiya folks!!
One more review from yours truly, the E40 from Lost Vape. Ok so folks strap in because the review is about to start.
Unboxing and first impressions
Quality packaging, been a long time since i reviewed something from Lost Vape.
Only two Lost Vape devices i keep at home are 2 ol’ Grus 100w that were build like bricks and still keep on working.
As i remember Lost Vape does a good job with the packaging, slide the cover out and remove the little box on the top, extra cartridge, paperwork, lanyard and a Type-C charging cable.
Beneath that you will find the device itself in a small baggie, the Grus came with the same type of protection and both of their AIO’s i reviewed in the past.
The E40 well just by the looks i thought it would be more frail than it actually is,quite the opposite actually.
Durable aluminum alloy frame makes the E40 feel strong when you hold it,very good design and the aesthetics are top notch.
I got the Pink by the way and i had no shame in using it in public, the design on the side panels is really good.
From what i can tell the 2 main differences between the E40 and the E40 Max are the design and colors of choice and the E40 Max has a screen and 2 buttons (+/-).
Apart from that they are both the same, same battery, same max wattage, etc, etc.
Battery size do not worry since the E40 is packing a 1400mAh battery which is more than enough if you out and about.
Charging time about 70 minutes, perhaps 75…not sure if the extreme heat i have here in Spain affects charge time but that is what i got.
Vaping time
I loaded up both the cartridges it comes with (well done, should be the Industry standard if you ask me),3mls capacity by the way and I am ready to get the party started.
DANG!!! these coils good, didn’t know what to expect but both the 0.3ohm and 0.6ohm delivered top notch flavor,i prefer the 0.3 ohm coil thou since its more of the style of vape i use on a day to day basis.
Wasn’t expecting much but they delivered good flavor and plentiful clouds.
The device itself well it does work properly and aesthetic wise it is cool looking but its also almost the same price of the E40 Max,think the difference is like 4 bucks or so,anyway will talk about this later in my ”would i recommend” segment.
PROS
- Coils,i mean wow…good performance and long lasting
- Aesthetic wise its a head turner
- Durable build and well designed
- 1400mAh battery…nuff’ said
CONS
- Lack of screen
- If you switch cartridges there is no smart mode so you better remember to lower the wattage or you will burn the coil like i did hehe
- While the dial (wattage) is cool but for like 4 bucks more you can get the same device but with a screen that shows all the basic info
Would i recommend this device?
Well it really depends,if you need a screen then you gotta choose the E40 Max but if you dig the dial for wattage and the aesthetics of any of the of the 6 colors available then yeah go for it.
Main difference like i said before are aesthetic wise (4 models of the E40 Max has leather on the side panels) and the screen.
Personally for 4 bucks more i would get the E40 Max,love me some leather on the sides plus a cool screen with all the info i need to know.
Thanks for everyone for reading and thanks to my friends over at Healthcabin for sending me the Lost Vape Centaurus E40 Pod Kit.
If you choose to buy this or the E40 Max feel free to visit Healthcabin’s website.
