Kumiho, a brand distributed by the online store HealthCabin, is back with its extensive series of pod mods named Thoth. After discussing the Thoth S, the alphabetical progression continues with the Thoth T, highlighted by the aforementioned store. The name changes, but not the full compatibility of their pods and cartridges, which range from MTL (Mouth To Lung) to Flavour.
The Kumiho Thoth G comes packaged in a cardboard box with a transparent window, showcasing its various features, and includes the brand’s social media links on the side. On the back, there is an important scratch & scan area to verify the product’s authenticity, along with additional contact information for Kumiho and the color variant of the Thoth G.

The device features a 900 mAh battery, power output ranging from 6 to a maximum of 35 watts, three options to adjust the draw, and a 2 ml pod/cartridge with dual activation via both a button and draw-to-fire. Additionally, I’ll include the specific dimensions, which are 13.5 x 25.7 x 110.9 mm, while the weight (Thoth G + inserted pod) is 47 grams. Inside the box, you’ll find the Thoth G, a 0.6 ohm pod cartridge (integrated pod and coil structure), and the user manual.

The 2 ml pod is the first element you interact with, featuring an integrated coil (cartridge) in this case, but it is also compatible with replaceable coils (you discard the coil and keep the “tank/pod”). Made from PCTG, a tasteless and pleasant material to use, it has a slightly glossy finish despite its matte gray color, which makes it easier to monitor the e-liquid level.

On the pod, above the ohm value (0.6 in this case), the “MIN” mark is engraved, which is useful for knowing when it’s time to refill. The drip tip has a “beak” shape, which, although not my personal favorite, has the advantage of being a middle ground—neither too wide nor too narrow. Refilling is done by removing the rubber stopper, which covers a hole wide enough to accommodate chubby-tipped bottles.

This rubber stopper is not permanently fixed, so even the part that remains attached to the pod can be completely removed, making it easier to clean pods with replaceable coils. The connection to the body of the Thoth G is secured by strong magnets, while the gold-plated pins ensure stable readings.

The selection of cartridges and the pod + coil (separate) format is extensive for the Thoth family, though all feature a mesh section inside that enables vaporization. The impedance and wattage range remain consistent across the options:
- 1.2Ω ⎯ 10W ~ 12W
- 1.0Ω ⎯ 12W ~ 15W
- 0.8Ω ⎯ 16W ~ 20W
- 0.6Ω ⎯ 20W ~ 25W
- 0.4Ω ⎯ 25W ~ 35W
Additionally, there is the option to purchase empty pods in different colors, such as clear or a hybrid version with a clear body and a black beak/drip tip.
I had previously tested the entire range of cartridges for the Thoth S. This Thoth G, being slightly more airy, handles its (single) included 0.6 ohm pod a bit better, allowing it to approach the minimum wattage recommended by Kumiho, which is 20 watts. The flavor performance is excellent on sweet profiles, even with the airflow fully open, delivering great aromatic intensity. It is well-suited for fruity and menthol flavors, and even some “less basic” creams are enjoyable, as the slightly increased airflow helps the flavors come through more effectively.

The pod you choose to use, in this case, the 0.6 ohm cartridge, is installed into the body of the Thoth G using the magnets shown in the previous photos. Despite the layout, the pod can be inserted from either side since the pins are centrally located, and the automatic draw sensor always functions. I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but there’s about half a millimeter of play when inserting the pod. This detail, however, helps prevent excessive condensation buildup. During my use, I never encountered any condensation, but it’s always a good idea to check daily.

On the front side, there is a 0.42-inch OLED display, which hints at the presence of a circuit. The display gives the impression of being much larger than it actually is, thanks to the black border surrounding it, with the Thoth logo engraved in white. Just below, another panel features a sticker that, depending on how the light hits it, reveals a carbon fiber-like print, though it feels perfectly smooth to the touch. The finish of the casing, although made of aluminum, closely resembles highly polished brushed steel. The button, on the other hand, is diamond-shaped with a chrome finish, consistent across all color variants.

On the “top” side of the Kumiho Thoth G, there is a slider that allows you to adjust the airflow. This design choice, seen from other manufacturers as well, remains highly effective. The slider, with its stainless steel-like finish and small notch, allows you to partially cover the three airflow holes. It is firm enough to prevent accidental adjustments. The draw mode ranges from a tight MTL (Mouth To Lung) to a very open MTL, without venturing into RDL (Restricted Direct Lung) territory, despite its compatibility with the 0.4 ohm pod, which requires slightly more airflow.

The Kumiho Thoth G is equipped with a built-in 900 mAh battery and supports fast charging via a USB Type-C port, though the cable is not included in the package and must be procured by the end user. Charging times are approximately one hour when the battery is fully depleted, as the maximum supported charging current is 1.2 A.
Despite the small display, the home screen provides essential information such as the selected wattage, a 5-digit puff counter, the coil’s resistance (ohm value), and whether the Thoth G is in a locked state.
Circuit Operation:
- 3 clicks: Unlock the wattage setting to adjust it.
- 5 clicks: Unlock the selection menu to choose between:
- Power off
- Reset puff counter
- Lock the fire button (Lock)
The two modes of delivery, via button or shot are always active at the same time. The Lock inhibits activation via the fire button, with the automatic one via shot remaining active instead. To confirm the wattage or reset the puffs, the fire button must be held down for a few seconds. For the wattage during the selection phase instead, holding down the fire button the watts scroll more quickly. To confirm the wattage either wait two/three seconds, without doing anything or extract the pod from the housing or emit a puff via automatic shot.
Protections:
- Time Out: If the activation exceeds 10 seconds, the screen displays “TIME OUT”.
- Short Circuit Protection: If the resistance is below 0.4Ω or above 3Ω, the device activates short circuit protection and displays “ATOMIZER SHORT”.
- Atomizer Check: If the coil is not recognized, the screen shows “CHECK ATOMIZER”.
- Overheating Protection: If the circuit reaches an excessive temperature, the device stops activation and displays “TOO HOT”.
Like the Thoth S, this Kumiho, despite not being declared shockproof, has the advantage that with the addition of a few grams compared to other pods, you don’t have to be afraid of how you treat it since the body is a single unit and a few bumps or falls do not worry about its integrity. As a forklift, leaving it in the dashboard of the car or a trip out of town will hardly leave you stranded with a very respectable aromatic return.
The Kumiho THOTH G can be purchased on HealthCabin in one of the 8 available colors with the possibility of also downloading their Android app on Google Play for coupons.
