I have used the Boost plus on and off for 2 weeks now and the coil is still giving a super flavour 30ml of liquid has been used so far. Geekvape make some great hardware in my opinion. So here is what i think.
I like the feel of the device in hand and even with an 18650 inside the weight is nice and light considering the mod is also shock, water and dustproof.
The battery cap is on the bottom of the pod. but i do find it tricky to bite when screwing down the cap, you need to put a bit of a press to make it bite. some folk might find it a little tricky
The buttons are all nice clicky button with Geekvapes usual angled fire button. The Boost Plus has a waterproofed usb port on the right side of the mod and it is 2amp charge which will charge your 18650 fast.
Now personally i am not a pod user, so i will by an 18650 adapter, i found Ruok made the best adapter for the original boost kit as it had abendy part that allowed it to sit right, and with a catch holding it in place it stays in place unlike the aolvape adapter which caused me to scrape the frint above the screen attempting to instal, but it didn’t fit i would advize against adapters using magnets. The weight of a tank will just pull the adaptor away and you may end up walking on broken glass.
There is also a rebuildable pod for the Boost plus, why could they not make a rebuildable coil head to use like a standard coil with the stock pods, any way it is how it is.
There are 2 drip tips in the Boost plus package one round which i prefer and one whistle tip which i just cant get on with.
Battery life is good especially using a samsung 30q battery, This is a selling point as the original Boost had a built in 1500mah battery or half the runtime of the built in Boost battery.
Sizewise its the same width as a Ultronor Thor 2 DNA 75c bur its the same height with the pod inserted and no drip tipbut its way lighter than the Thor 2. Available in 6 styles

The pod and new g coil is working well, no leaks so far, easy to install pods and change coils. I find the flavour of the G coil is better in tc using 30w and 240F than 30w in wattage mode. Flavourwise it is very good my only complaint is no rba coil for the pods you have to buy a complete rba pod. 3 things i love with the pods is they are compatible with shortfills ie larger nozzles, the top fill and the fact it gives a satisfying DL draw

lets run through how to navigate the screens.

5 clicks of the fire button for on or off.
fire and plus/ fire and minus to alter screen brightness
plus minus together to lock the device
3 clicks of the fire button and then press minus to navigate between wattage, Voltage, Temp control
or you can make your own tcr. when you go in temp control before you fire up use the plus minus to navigate down to wattage where you can set the wattage before using and change the temp on the main screen with plus minus as normal.
The display is ok but the small stats like ohms are minute

Pros

  • Taste
  • Fast 2 amp charging
  • light weight
  • shock, water and dustproof
  • removeable battery
  • Large fill port hole in the pods
  • vape all day with one battery.
  • can be used with a 510 adaptor

Cons

  • No rba coil
  • battery cap
  • some of the display is minute

Conclusion

The Aegis boost plus is a pod sytem i actually like and will use as a mod. This is what i have found a little strange with pod systems, just like 6 years ago when folk used Spinner batteries with those cartomizers with silica wicks, then mods with wattage came and so forth i feel the pod system has gone on to become similar with 100 plus watts pods coming out. For me Pods are more about mtl and nic salts upto a restricted DL hit.
This said for the price its a decent bit of kit, the cons are nothing huge. the large fill port ontop of the pod is something that pleased me and with the usual Geekvape Aegis design it;s a solid built Pod system.
Hopefully this review will be helpful to others nd thanks for taking time to read it.
