Vaporesso Gen 220W Mod Kit with Skarr-S Tank 8ml–Review

I was sent a Gen Kit over 6 weeks ago from HealthCabin for the purpose of review, this fact will not effect my personal opinion in any way, shape or form.
First the mod, this ones a looker, feels great in the hand, I received the Silver, a smooth rubbery finish, the two side panels are dimpled, so a good grip. The battery door is held on by 2 strong magnets, the door is solid and does not move at all, good job Vaporesso. The 510 had a medium throw spring, the top plate is SS that has a bronze colored coating as does the clicky fire button, the menu and + & – buttons have a nice click to them also. The mod reminds me of mods that where available 4-5 years ago, but with the rounded sides feels great in the hand. The mod is made out of aluminum I think, it’s very light for it’s size.
The screen is a throwback, somewhat small but gets the point across, easy menu, easy to use, typical 5 clicks on or off, 3 clicks to lock the + & -. The menu, press the center/menu button, scroll through modes.
The mod has a Pulse mode, I liked it, but honestly I didn’t see any difference between it and regular VW in DIY mode. What shined for me was Smart TC, screw in a Tank with a TC coil installed and the mod adjusts everything and you can control the Temp manually, comparing to my DNA’s, a solid B+, just love the Smart TC, it works, infact TC works all around on this mod, in DIY mode VT, you are able to adjust TCR and Preheat W, nice touch. The Gen even has a ECO mode, at 20 and 10% battery and warning shows, asking if you want ECO mode, I saw that while in ECO, the watts are reduced to stretch the battery.

The Skarr Tank, well I used both of the coils that came in the kit, first the .2 mesh Kanthal, it was pretty good, decent flavor, I got 2 weeks out of it, but really nothing to write home about, the .15 mesh, for me Eh!
The tank looks decent, and that’s it, it actually pissed me off, came time to install the .15, I could not unscrew the tank, I had to use to pairs of pliers to get it apart and the .15 leaked.

Honestly I got the most enjoyment from the Gen using the OG Freemax Mesh and a .15 SS coil, much, much flavor, like I said, TC works on this mod.

So that’s it that’s all forks!
The Gen Mod I highly recommend, may be one of the best for 2019, the Skarr S tank, is not ready for Prime Time in my opinion.
