As we all know that the Novo series is one of the most successful pod systems of SMOK. Previously we have shared the difference between the original Novo, Novo 2 & Novo 3, Novo X, Novo 4.
In this post, we will make a comparison between the Novo 4 & Novo 5. Let’t check it out!
SMOK Novo 5 Summary
We can see that the Novo 5 did make great improvements compared with Novo 4.
1. They upgraded the filling method to top-fill, a more convenient way to fill, right?
2. The battery capacity was increased to 900mAh, which enables it to supply a longer vaping experience.
3. The max output was increased to 30W, you can make bigger clouds.
4. They changed the display to 0.69inch, you can see your vape info clearly.
5. The size became bigger, which fits comfortably in your hand.
6. The Novo 5 has changed to replaceable pod instead of replaceable coil.

I just got the Novo 5. I don’t consider the larger size as a “pro”. the Novo 4 beats the Novo 5 on size because it’s less weight in my pocket and both units take 2mL of juice. the Black carbon fiber look of the 5 is hands down the most sexy model of them all, and the main reason I purchased it. the battery being only 100mah bigger is a pro, but it’s only 12% bigger, nothing to write home about. My only gripe with the Novo 4 is that the pods eventually detach from itself and leaves you with a wet pocket full of juice. This happens around the 6th month mark and sometimes the pod doesn’t want to connect and work, you have to repeatedly take it out and put it back in until it works, so I’m hoping the Novo 5 does not have these 2 issues, only time will tell.
